Teary Week-End

Hey Isa,

I think I was trying to be tough when I said bye to you…but it all came rushing out this week end. Leaving my parent’s place was really hard! I was glad my Mom and sister came along with me. It really started to hit me that I wouldn’t be back in Montreal for a while and that a 4 hour drive is a 4 hour drive…no matter how you look at it.

We stopped in Kingston on the way. It was really nice! We had lunch at a little place called  The Sleepless Goat  (yummy organic coffee and  locally grown veggies) and checked out a cute little market with lots of pretty flowers:

When we got to the Shwa, we went down to the waterfront and showed my Mom and sis around. Every second house seems to have a for sale sign up! and the week-ends are packed with open houses. I think we’ll have a pretty easy time finding a place, we can afford to be a little picky since there are soooo many places for sale.

Well, Mom and Irene left today (amidst more tears…)  and Josh and I have the place to ourselves for a few days. I’ll get a chance to settle in and get used to the place before the family get back and then it’s kid central! Wish me luck!

  • I don’t know what’s up with my pictures but I’ll try to figure it out….;(

  • It’s normal to be sad, but on the other hand. A four hour drive isn’t on the other side of the ocean, it’s just a 4 hour drive. And I’m lucky that’s it’s one that I tend to do quite often already and now I’ll have even more of a reason to do so.
