Phase One

Dear Isa,
So…here I am at my parent’s place out in the suburbs. It still feels like I’m just here for the week-end, not embarking on ‘phase one’ of this life changing event! I was listening to CBC radio today and realised that I won’t be waking up to Mike Finnerty anymore. And then I thought how weird it is that when thinking about moving out of province, my morning radio show host is what I’ll miss… I guess it’ll take some time to realise that I won’t get to just call you up and say let’s go to Esperanza (I just can’t get used to calling it Cagibi) for a coffee or Pushap’s for cheap indian….I know that when it all hits me I might be in store for a mini crisis! Josh has been well warned of this!
He’s planning a BBQ for us this week end when my Mom and sister drive me out there. It’ll be nice for them to see where we’ll be living. Hopefully we’ll get a chance to drive around and look at some potential houses. Speaking of which, I’ve only been here a day and have watched about a million home renovation shows! Man I love HGTV! But I have a feeling the novelty will wear off once I myself become a ‘house hunter’ and ‘property virgin’.
Well I’m just kind of riding this week out… doing little things around the house to help out my parents, trying not to get too anxious about the move. Can’t wait to see you Friday for what I’m dubbing ‘The Last Supper’. See you then.
